About Us
Who we are
Strategic Dreamers is a boutique foresight consultancy based in Warsaw, working internationally. We research and design futures — for organisations, institutions, and communities facing decisions that depend on what the world might become in 5, 10, or 15 years.
We are a small, deliberately composed team of foresight and design practitioners, each bringing a distinct professional tradition into a shared practice. What holds us together is a conviction that the future does not reveal itself to any single discipline. It demands polyphony: the collision of analytical rigour, cultural sensitivity, and the capacity to imagine what doesn’t yet have a name.

How we think
Our practice follows two parallel tracks — and gains its character from the tension between them.
The applied track is analytical and operational. We help companies, institutions, and public bodies think systematically about what lies ahead — through horizon scanning, scenario development, technology monitoring, and structured exploration of uncertainty. This work operates in two registers: strategic foresight that informs long-term planning, risk assessment, and institutional resilience; and innovation-oriented foresight that opens space for transformation, surfacing possibilities outside current assumptions. Both share a common purpose: not merely to anticipate futures, but to build capacity for shaping them.
The speculative track is experimental and generative. Here we test ideas at the edge of established practice, drawing on design fiction, anthropological fieldwork, and art methods to ask different kinds of questions about futures. This is slower, more exploratory work — philosophical where the applied track is operational, provocative where the applied track is diagnostic. A protected space for radical imagination.
These tracks sometimes operate independently; sometimes they inform each other in ways we didn’t plan. The applied work disciplines our thinking. The speculative work unsettles it. Clients benefit from both.
What defines us
We work at the periphery. We scan for weak signals, trace emergent patterns, and move into territories that feel unfamiliar but consequential. The changes that matter most almost never arrive at the centre first.
We are human-led. We use AI as supporting infrastructure, never as oracle. Contemporary language models generate consensus, not surprise — and the signals that matter most are precisely those underrepresented in any training corpus. Our core capability is expert judgment, ethnographic sensibility, and interpretive rigour.
We treat foresight as design, not prediction. We are less interested in forecasting than in converting insight into intervention — treating futures not as destinations to be guessed but as conditions to be shaped.
We bridge worlds that rarely meet. Our team works across strategic consulting, public policy, curatorial practice, narrative design, and critical technology studies. This means we bring perspectives — and sources — that most foresight firms never access.
